I love and have always loved reading. I usually read one at once but at times I will read two. I have a book end which states 'Caution! Bookworms bite when disturbed.
An Unfamiliar Murder by Jane Isaac
Jane Isaac is another author that I have become aware of through the power of social media. This book, her debut novel is very good. Set in a fictional town in the Midlands, it tells the story equally from both the lead detective and the victim.
I liked both characters but really enjoyed being introduced to DCI Helen Lavery who had to balance home life and her first job as lead in an investigation.
Looking forward to the next in the series in 2014.
