I love and have always loved reading. I usually read one at once but at times I will read two. I have a book end which states 'Caution! Bookworms bite when disturbed.
The Killer Next Door
I enjoyed Alex Marwood's first novel, The Wicked Girls but this one I loved so much more. A rundown house where most of the inhabitants harbour a secret or a reason to be afraid. The landlord is a horrible creation, but then you get characters like Cher, Vesta and Psycho who I loved. Wouldn't recommend to read while you are eating a meal, the book is very descriptive of the decay process but not gratuitously so.
I sometimes guess which way a story is going to go but this novel was a surprise all the way through. A good read, would make a great TV adaptation and will definitely read more by this author.
