I love and have always loved reading. I usually read one at once but at times I will read two. I have a book end which states 'Caution! Bookworms bite when disturbed.
One Kick is a book that you could very easily read in one sitting. It only took a couple of chapters to get into and then it was one of them books where life got in the way.
Kick has been damaged by what happened to her and goes to great lengths to ensure that she isn't in danger again. She meets up with John Bishop who she doesn't really trust but goes along with what he wants.
I loved Kick's character, along with James. John, I was unsure about and as you progress through the novel you will understand why.
I'm hoping that we don't have to wait too long for the sequel. I hadn't anticipated a cliff hanger ending.
I will be reading Chelsea Cain's previous books sometime in the future.
Thanks to the publisher and the author for the copy via NetGalley, and also to Liz Barnsley for telling me about it.
